Prabhu Flags Off New Train from Mumbai to Kazipet

A new train service was flagged off by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu providing connectivity from Mumbai to Kazipet in Telangana.

NEW DELHI: Fulfilling a long-pending demand, a new train service was launched today providing connectivity from Mumbai to Kazipet in Telangana.

"This is the New Year's first train to be launched. There was a long time demand for this train and today it has been fulfilled," Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said after flagging of the train here through video conferencing.

The weekly Lokmanya Tilak-Kazipet Anandwan Express will start from Mumbai every Monday and reach Kazipeth the next morning. The train will begin its return journey from Kazipet on every Tuesday and reach Mumbai the next day.

The train with 21 coaches will stop at 20 stations including Thane, Bhusawal, Akola, Wardha, Chandrapur, Bellampalli and Peddapalli.
