Amit Shah, Arun Jaitley to call on ailing Jaya tomorrow

BJP sources said both leaders are expected around 3 p.m., and would visit Apollo hospital at around 5 p.m.

CHENNAI: BJP president Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will call on ailing Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa tomorrow, at Apollo Hospital.

BJP sources said both leaders are expected around 3 p.m., and would visit Apollo hospital at around 5 p.m. Both leaders have no other programme and they would be returning to Delhi tomorrow evening.

Today, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu enquired about the health of Jayalalithaa. Naidu also asked the TTD officials to send Swamy Vari Prasadam and seshavastram of presiding deity seeking speedy recovery of Jayalalithaa.

He also held prayers at Tirupati for TN CM's speedy recovery

The party's official Twitter handle, @AIADMKofficial, said Naidu had sent 'prasadam' from Lord Venkateshwara temple at Tirumala Tirupati to Apollo hospital, where Jayalalithaa has been admitted.

"Chandrababu Naidu held prayers at Tirupati temple for complete recovery of Chief Minister (Jayalalithaa). The Andhra CM sent the prasadam to Apollo Hospital," the tweet in Tamil read.

Kashmir Food Minister Chowdharay Zulfkar Ali visited Apollo Hospitals and enquired about the health of Jayalalithaa.

On Monday, Kerala Governor retired judge P Sathasivam and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited the hospital and enquired about the health of Jayalalithaa.
