Jammu and Kashmir: Gunmen loot bank in Shopian district

SRINAGAR: Gunmen on Friday looted cash from a branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank in south Kashmir Shopian district.

Police said the gunmen today looted Rs 198,000 from the Ratnipora branch of the J&K Bank.

On Thursday, in a similar incident, gunmen looted Rs 5 lakh from the Marhama branch of the same bank in Anantnag district.

Police said Hizbul Mujahideen militants looted the Marhama branch on Thursday and their identity has been established.
