NEW DELHI: Expressing concern over the sealing drive in the national capital, BJP member Meenakshi Lekhi today demanded dissolution of the Supreme Court- appointed monitoring committee.

Accusing the committee of tyrannical behaviour, she said it was not working according to the law and even ignoring orders of the court.

She charged that people were not being given an opportunity to represent their case.

"I seek dissolution of this committee," she added.

The sealing drive -- shutting of illegal establishments -- started last year on the directions of the monitoring committee.

The issue was raised during the Zero Hour.

Raising another matter, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor demanded the proper attention of rail services in Kerala.

He said several projects in the Southern Railway are pending for long, because of which people are suffering.
