PATNA: Hours after RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav openly invited Union Minister and RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha to join the Grand Alliance, he turned down the offer, saying Mr Yadav's statement had no meaning for him and he would continue in NDA which is united.

Mr Kushwaha, who hosted an Iftar party here, told media persons that the invitation extended by Mr Yadav to join Grand Alliance was meaningless for him.

It was clear that he would continue in NDA which was rock-like united, he asserted and added that the mass base of RJD was shrinking which made Mr Yadav extend such invitation in desperation.

Union Minister, when further pressed on the issue, said why Mr Yadav had been extending such invitation, could only be explained by him.

There was no question for him to desert NDA and join Grand Alliance as he was strongly committed to make efforts to ensure the second term of Mr Narendra Modi as PM and it could be possible only if he continued in NDA, he maintained.
