CHANDIGARH: With the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections less than six months away, a documentary titled “From Satauj to Sansad” that dwells on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s journey since his childhood in Satauj village of Sangrur district is set to air on Discovery Channel on August 30.
Mann shard a promotional video for the film, describing his journey as that of “a man of the soil, a satirist who made people laugh and a Chief Minister who set a new standard of governance.’’ As he took to X to exhort people to watch it, Mann said the documentary would be aired in seven languages on August 30 at 7 pm.
The documentary, which links Mann’s personal journey with his AAP government’s achievements, also dwells on his career as a satirist and his entry into politics.
With state polls around the corner, the movie is expected to help AAP build an election narrative centered on CM Mann’s Punjabi identity and governance record.
