THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s television show ‘Naam Munnotu’ will hit the television screens soon. He will be interacting with a panel of experts and occasionally with celebrities on various topics in the weekly show expected to be telecast through various channels from next month. The show produced by the Information and Public Relations Department is designed and executed by the C-DIT.

Though it was earlier planned to telecast on Sundays in Doordarshan alone, in view of its limited reach, the PRD is planning to telecast it on private channels as well, said C-DIT deputy director Ramesh Vikraman. In the show Pinarayi will take questions from the panel. Selected viewers will participate in episodes discussing development issues, he said.

The show will be anchored by Aranmula MLA Veena George. The pilot  episode was shot at the Chithranjali studio on women safety with cine actor Rima Kallingal appearing as the celebrity guest. In an episode on agriculture, actor Sreenivasan was the guest along with the subject experts. The show will be telecast in the slot Doordarshan had allotted to former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s ‘Sutharya Keralam’. The show was a hit as it solved several complaints.
