KOCHI: Express Auto Expo-2017, organised by The New Indian Express Group, will be inaugurated by actor Manoj K Jayan at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium ground here at 11 am on Friday.  Hibi Eden MLA will be the guest of honour at the function, which will be attended by a galaxy of stakeholders in the automotive sector.

The New Indian Express Group has conducted similar expos in various parts of Tamil Nadu.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is the title sponsor of the Kochi event, which is powered by SF Sonic Batteries. Various other brands in the automobile industry will also take part in the event.  “This is a mega event in the automobile sector of Kerala. It is designed to enable visitors to experience high-ticket models from top players in the automobile sector. In addition, it helps job aspirants to explore opportunities in the auto sector,” said a spokesperson for the expo.

The range of models an auto-buff would want to test drive, or even snap pictures with, are impressive. The event will act as a platform for finance companies, banks and accessory manufacturers to exhibit their products. The exhibition timing is from 11 am to 9 pm.
Employment: Those who are looking for a job in the automobile sector can drop in at the expo and register for free. Administration, sales/marketing and technical vacancies are aplenty in automobile showrooms in the city.
Vintage cars: At least 10 cars belonging to members of the Cochin Vintage Club will be on display at the expo.
