Feminist Beer in Brazil To Change Gender Equation

Express News Service

A brewery in Brazil is attempting to challenge the negative stereotypes associated with beer with Cerveja Feminista—a ‘feminist’ beer, reports an international daily. The label features the symbol for gender equality and has been designed to get the advertising industry discussing the way women are portrayed. “Beer ads in Brazil objectify women. Even craft beers, which are also becoming more popular here, follow that path, with names like ‘Fatlicious’ or ‘Forbidden Lady’,” says the founder of the beer.
