Kama Ayurveda’s Natural Sun Protection  Rs 1,350

In a bright yellow tube comes Kama Ayurveda’s Natural Sun Protection (SPF 21) that I picked for its mineral based composition, as opposed to chemical based synthetic ingredients that prove toxic for the skin in the long run. The cream provides broad spectrum protection, which means that it not only gives your skin a tough barrier against UVA but also UVB rays. With ingredients such as pure essential oils of nutmeg, ginger and lime, it works against tanning, hyper-pigmentation and ageing. The consistency of this ginger and lime perfumed cream is thin but not greasy. It leaves a white cast after application because of its SPF content, which disappears in a few minutes. The cream comes infused with Shea butter, olive oil and glycerine, known to keep the skin hydrated, because of which, you can do without an extra layer of moisturiser under the sunscreens. The product gets a thumbs up for being safe for sensitive skin. I did find the product on the expensive side but the fact that it’s organic, made me go for it nonetheless.
