Mighty Cast, a Montreal-based Company has now introduced its new high-tech band called Nex Band. This device is a wearable device in the form of a wrist band.
The device utilizes Mod charms to connect to other devices and mobile applications. Therefore, this wrist band utilizes Bluetooth technology to connect to the cloud. This will help the users to connect their smartphones and they can also receive gaming notifications along with mobile notifications.
The Nex Band works in a certain way. It has up to five Mod charms and each represents a related game, a social channel or mobile application that can be connected to the band. Once the band is connected, Nex Band notifies the users accordingly. Mod Charms are customizable and can also be substituted with other Nex Band users for other experiences.
Each of the MOD charm will carry its own unique IDs, allowing permissions, locations and behaviours to be updated in the cloud. There will an application called Next App, through which the users will be able to manage and control the settings of Nex Band.
Along with this amazing wrist band technology, Mighty Cast will also make APIs and SDKs available for developers who will be interested to make new Mod charms without any manufacturing expenses.
The first batch of Nex Bands will be shipped in late 2014 during the holiday season.
