LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested the brother of the gang leader involved in the leakage of the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) question papers that affected lakhs of students.
Phool Chandra, who is posted as a clerk in the Punjab National Bank in Jaunpur, was arrested from Lucknow late last night, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) STF Vijay Prakash said today.
He said Phool Chandra is the brother of the gang leader. The arrested accused has revealed names of some persons and efforts were being made to arrest them, sources said.
Police had yesterday said that the kingpin of gang involved in the leakage of the paper was a native of Jaunpur district and has bases in Ghaziabad and Mumbai.
