Scouring through the images of the day, one notices that several people, from parliamentarians to election candidates, are wearing yellow today. Curious if this is somehow related to astrology, a quick Google search reveals it indeed is. If you believe in colours being favourable to your fortunes, then apparently yellow and purple are Thursday’s colours.
The attires of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is seen watching the successful satellite launch, and BSP chief Mayawati, who was attending Parliament, could arguably be a rich shade of crème, or a mild yellow, whichever you like. And Deepa Dasmunsi, Congress candidate pitted against TMC supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee (who is always seen in white) in Bhawanipore constituency in Kolkata, is wearing more of a mango or ochre.
In an aside, Navjot Singh Sindhu and his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu, arrived in matching pink to Parliament.
