KOLKATA: Calcutta High Court judge Justice C S Karnan has summoned Chief Justice of India J S Khehar and six other Supreme Court judges to his 'Rosedale residential court' accusing all of them of 'publicly humiliating him in the court for being a Dalit'.

A suo moto judicial order has been issued which summoned all the seven judges -- J S Khehar, Dipak Misra, J Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, Madan B Lokur, Pinaki Chandra Ghose and Kurian Joseph -- to his residential court on April 28 regarding the quantum of punishment in violation of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

The High Court judge has been barred by the Supreme Court to carry on with his duties on charges of contempt of court.

In the order, Justice Karnan has order the Airports Authority of India to not allow the seven judges to travel abroad and has ordered them to surrender their passports before the Delhi DGP within 15 days. He has also stated that the judges can't move to any other court against this order.

Justice Karnan has also appealed to all State and Central government agencies not to avail the services of the judges as they are accused of caste discrimination. In the order, he has also asked all countries with cordial relations with India not to issue any visa to the seven judges as they may 'spread the virus of caste discrimination' in their respective nations.
