Two youngsters, who went missing from Kavalesad in Amboli on Monday, were killed after they accidentally fell into a hundred-feet deep gorge in a drunken stupor.

BELAGAVI: Two youngsters, who went missing from Kavalesad Point in Amboli on Monday, were killed after they accidentally fell into a hundred-feet deep gorge in a drunken stupor. 

The deceased, Imran Gardi (25) and Prasad Rathod (21), were residents of Gadinglaj in Maharashtra. They were employees of a poultry farm at Gadinglaj and were visiting Amboli along with other colleagues.

The incident which happened on Monday was captured on camera and went viral on social media on Thursday. The video showed Gardi and Rathod crossing the iron railing into the danger zone. Tourists were seen shouting at youngsters to stop their stunts but the duo neglected. Rathod lost balance and fell in the valley along with Gardi, who had caught his hand.

In Kavalesad Point, a few tourists said that they saw the incident, however, none of them stopped the duo from entering the danger zone, stating that they were intoxicated.

Meanwhile, the youngsters' colleagues, who were unaware of the incident, thought that they were missing. Dayanand Patil, the owner of the poultry farm in which the deceased were working, filed a missing complaint with Amboli police on Monday.
