NEW DELHI: Even when Goa and Manipur trends of the counting of votes suggest hung Assembly, the BJP is confident of coming to power in both the states.
While the BJP is in talks with smaller regional outfits in Manipur, the saffron outfit is confident that the narrow margin with which a few of the party candidates are trailing in Goa would come to the winning track.
"We are going to form the government in Manipur. The people have rejected the Ibobi Singh-led Congress government in the state. We went to the hilt to expose the Ibobi Singh government, which was singularly responsible for the blockade," said Union minister Prakash Javdekar, who is in-charge of the party affairs in the state.
Javdekar also claimed that the blockade would be lifted within a day of the BJP government forming there.

"The chief minister has to issue an order to the security forces to lift the blockade, which Ibobi Singh refused to do so in a bid reap votes in the state," added Javdekar.
Senior BJP leaders maintained that the party would form a government with the help of a few of the Naga political outfits active in the hilly parts of the state.
Meanwhile, the BJP appears confident of retaining power in Goa. "A few of our candidates are trailing by less than 100 votes. They will take leads soon. We will be able to form the government with the help of other non-Congress parties," said a senior BJP functionary.
