Fire breaks out in MLA hostel building in Srinagar

Fire engulfed three rooms on the first floor of the building. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

SRINAGAR: A fire broke out in the first floor of the four-storey MLA hostel near the M A Road area around noon on Tuesday, causing damage to a few rooms in the building, officials said.

They said the fire engulfed three rooms on the first floor of the building causing some damage to them.

Upon information, Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control along with police personnel.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
