CM to attend ITI-Talcher’s golden jubilee function

TALCHER:Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to attend the golden jubilee function of ITI-Talcher on April 13.

According to local Sub Collector office, Naveen will also lay foundation stone of a new auditorium on the ITI premises. Ahead of the Chief Minister's visit Angul Collector Anil Kumar visited the spot along with senior district officials and took stock of the arrangements. Local MLA BK Pradhan was also present.
The Chief Minister will be accompanied by Technical Education Minister Sanjay Dasburma, Principal Secretary in the department Laxmi Narayan Gupta and Chairman, Odisha Skill Development Authority, Subroto Bagchi.

This will be the first visit of the Chief Minister to Talcher after the panchayat elections. Three out of four Zilla Parishad zones under Talcher Assembly constituency have been captured by BJP and one went to BJD. In another setback to the ruling party, the chairman post also went to the BJP.
 The visit of the Chief Minister is being viewed by political observers as a significant development since the area is also hometown of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
