PURI: The Trinity has recovered from illness after spending a fortnight in the Ansara Ghar (sick room) of Srimandir, informed Daitapati servitors on Thursday. A team of senior Daitapati servitors including Patimahapatra went in a procession called ‘Rajprasad Bije’ to the palace of Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb and informed the king about the Trinity’s recovery.

The servitors also informed the Gajapati that the deities will be ready for Nabajouban Besha scheduled on June 19, a day prior to the Rath Yatra festival. The Puri king is considered the foremost servitor of Lord Jagannath.

The Gajapati told Daitapati servitors to perform the rituals of the deities on time for smooth conduct of the festival. He also advised them not to stand in front of the deities on chariots and block the view of the Trinity.

After Trinity’s recovery, a special set of servitors would perform ‘Banaklagi seva’ to give the deities a youthful look. On the day of Nabajouban Besha, devotees will be allowed to have Paramanik darshan of the deities between 8 am and 9 am. Similarly, general public darshan (Sahana Mela) will be allowed from 9 am to 11 am.

The Paramanik darshan ticket holders will be allowed to enter the Srimandir through Dakshina Dwara. A total 7,000 tickets priced at Rs 100 each will be sold for Paramanik darshan, said chief administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Ranjan Kumar Das.

Darshan of the deities inside the sanctum sanctorum will be stopped at 11 am as servitors will start preparing the deities for Rath Yatra the next day.On the day, the administration opened the 20 metre outer access road of the Srimandir Parikrama project for public use.

Meanwhile, the Puri Gajapati urged the Forest department to create a database on Sri Jagannath Banaprakalpa projects which were initiated two decades back to meet the timber demand for construction of chariots.

The king also said he has held discussion with the ISKCON authorities on the issue of holding Rath Yatra across the world on the specific date as observed in Puri.
