Malda (WB), Dec 2 (PTI) Altogether 48 turtles wereseized from a reserved coach of an express train at Malda Townstation in the district today, RPF officials said.
During a routine check in the Anand Bihar-Malda TownWeekly Express upon its arrival at the station, RPF personnelstumbled upon two bags containing the reptiles in the S-5coach.
There was no claimant for the bags.
The officials said the turtles were of a rare variety,but could not provide details.
The turtles were later handed over to the forestdepartment. PTI CORNN.
