Pune, Nov 11 (PTI) Local players Jayesh Pungaliya andSiddanth Banthia made full use of their wildcards to enter thesecond qualifying round at the MSLTA ATP Challenger heretoday.
17-year-old Banthia, who missed on the junior season tomake his senior debut, outplayed Siddharth Vishwakarma 7-6, 6-1 while Pungliya, who has been performing consistently atthe ITF events got the better of Dhakshineswar Suresh 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Fifth seeded Siddharth Rawat stopped a fighting DhruvSunish 6-4, 7-6 (1) while seventh seeded N Vijay SundarPrashanth rallied past Anvit Bendre 6-4, 6-2.
Chandril and Lakshit Sood, Ranjeet Virali-Murugesan werethe other Indians to enter the second round. In the only upsetof the day, Timur Khabibulin of Kazakhstan upset sixth seededNaoki Nakagawa of Japan 2-6, 7-6, 6-4.
