Agartala, Nov 26 (PTI) BJP National general secretary,Ram Madhav today said the ruling CPI(M) would face the realopposition in the Tripura assembly election scheduled to beheld in February next year.

"This time election in Tripura would be a differentelection. Earlier, at least for the last 25 years the statehas witnessed elections without opposition. CPI(M) did notface any opposition because it had always a clandestine linkwith the opposition Congress," Madhav told reporters here.

But this time (2017) they (CPI-M) would face the realopposition, he saidMadhav said after the Gujarat assembly election, theBJP would launch a vigorous election campaign in Tripura andtop BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi wouldhit the campaign trail.

Madhav said "we have recently moved the ElectionCommission to rectify the electoral rolls through an intensiverevision before the elections. There is huge number of fakeand dead voters in the rolls which need to be cleaned."A delegation of the party led by partyÂ’s centralobserver Sunil Deodhar met the full bench of ElectionCommission of India (ECI) in Delhi on Friday and alleged thatmore than one lakh fake and Bangladeshi voters were includedin the electoral rolls.

Madhav said the BJP has also demanded that thestate administration should work impartially so that electioncould held in a free, fair and fearless atmosphereAsked, if they (BJP) wants to delay the electionprocess in the name of intensive revision, Madhav said, "Wedo not want election to be delayed.
