Mumbai, Oct 14 (PTI) Popular TV-film actor Vatsal Shethsays television is a more successful medium as compared tomovies.

Vatsal made his acting debut with the late '90s show"Just Mohabbat" as a kid. He later appeared in a couple offilms including, "Taarzan: The Wonder Car", "U Me Aur Hum","Jai Ho" among others.

He continued acting in TV serials like "Ek Hasina Thi"and "Rishton Ka Saudagar - Baazigar".

Talking about the success rate of the small screen,Vatsal tells PTI, "TV has definitely grown a lot over theyears. If you compare TV and films, the success ratio oftelevision is higher than films.

"Out of 10-20 films, one becomes a hit, while on TV veryrarely shows fail. Today, the medium of TV has changed interms of story line, presentation, look of the show and thecharacters. The reach of TV is higher."Ask about regressive shows on television and the actorsays he has never been part of one.

"All I know is that if a show is running for months oryears, it only means audience has liked it. If the TRP of anyshow is good, it only means it is doing well. The trend ofcoming up with different kind of shows has started. It's allabout taking the risk and hoping it pays off well. The changeis happening."Vatsal says if he gets an interesting role in a 'saas-bahu' show, he would love to do it.

"The character has to be good. It doesn't matter if itis a daily soap like saas-bahu show or other show," he adds.

The actor is excited about his next TV show "Haasil".

Vatsal plays Kabir Raichand, who is a brat, naughty and animpulsive person in his new stint.

"I am enjoying my stint on television. I am gettinggood offers in television and people are also liking my work,so why not do TV? This new show is a love triangle with athriller element. It's a different show with lots of ups anddowns."The show will premiere from October 30 on SonyEntertainment Television. PTI KKP JUR NPRDS.
