Former Sports Journalist Arnab Ghosh Passes Away

Former sports journalist Arnab Ghosh passed away late on Wednesday night following a brief period of illness, according to family sources.             

Ghosh, 78, was suffering from asthma for many years. He was admitted to a nursing home here on Friday after his condition deteriorated. Ghosh suffered a heart attack last night and breathed his last.             

He is survived by wife and a son.            

Ghosh started his career with Amrita Bazar Patrika in mid 1960s. He joined The Hindu’s Kolkata bureau in 1977.
