West Ham Striker Sakho Arrested Over Domestic Assault Suspicion

LONDON:London police arrested West Ham striker Diafra Sakho on suspicion of attacking his girlfriend.

A Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed the news, saying that the player was arrested at an address in Emerson Park, Hornchurch on the suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and malicious communication.

He added that the 25-year-old was later taken to the east London Police station, where he was granted bail to a date in late September.

Sakho played 89 minutes of the recently held Premier League match at Emirates Stadium, where West Ham claimed 2-0 victory over Arsenal.

He appeared in 24 matches from West Ham side and has scored 10 goals for the team.
