CHENNAI: K Mukunth scored 100 for Globe Trotters, but spinner Rahil Shah took five wickets to help Vijay CC take the first-innings lead and five points in an Elite Group match of the TNCA senior division league on Wednesday.

Youngsters Mukunth and Washington Sundar (95) shared a second-wicket partnership of 184 in 66.4 overs. When Sundar got out, Globe Trotters were 200 for one in 72.3 overs. They were all out in 22.3 overs after that.

Left-armer Shah and off-spinner Malolan Rangarajan shared nine wickets. Barring Mukunth and Sundar, none entered double figures.

At IIT, Jolly Rovers set Youngstars a target of 309 runs in a minimum of 73 overs. Despite Ganesh Satish (88) leading the chase, they suddenly lost wickets before the ninth-wicket pair of Victor (33 not out) and Goutham (31 not out) played out 11.1 overs to force a draw.
