Report on Cuttack Water Bottle Throwing Incident Submitted

Odisha home secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy submited his inquiry report and said that the report was submitted taking all aspects into consideration.

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha home secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy today submited his inquiry report with the state government on the water bottle thowing incident during the Twenty20 International match between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on October 5.

Refusing to divulge details of his finding, Tripathy said: "I was asked by the government to conduct an inquiry and submit a report on the incident of bottle throwing at Barabati Stadium. I have already submitted the report taking all aspects into consideration."

Patnaik had also suggested to the home secretary to recommend steps needed to be taken to avoid recurrence of the incident in the future.

Spectators from the visitors gallery had thrown water bottles onto the field after being disappointed at the poor performance of the Indian Team during the match.
