A recent video has emerged on the internet where one of India's most decorated cricketers, Sourav Ganguly, was captured on camera playing gully cricket with a few kids in between the narrow streets of Kolkata.

On Sunday morning, the kids on the street playing gully cricket were in for a surprise when former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly joined them for a crack with the bat. The Prince of Kolkata, as he is fondly called by his fans, was seen playing with the neighbourhood kids in the six-minute long video where he can even be seen batting right-handed.

Though Sourav Ganguly retired from international cricket eight years back, the charismatic left-hander still hasn't forgotten his stance or his lofted shot which he is famous for. Ganguly currently holds the position of President of the Cricket Association of Bengal(CAB), in addition to being a cricket analyst.

The 44-year-old last played the game during the Cricket All Stars in 2015 when he was a part of Sachin’s Blasters team, which lost 3-0 to Warne’s Warriors. Ganguly holds the impressive record of being one of the very few players to have scored more than 10,000 ODI runs. Ganguly has a batting average of 41.02 in ODI's and 42.17 in Tests scoring 11,363 and 7,212 respectively. Ganguly had also represented Kolkata Knight Riders (2008-2010) and Pune Warriors (2011-2012) in the IPL.
