SYDNEY: Polish international winger Adrian Mierzejewski has signed for Australian A-League champions Sydney FC in a three-year deal, the club said on Saturday.

Mierzejewski, 30, who has 40 international caps, joins Sydney from United Arab Emirates club Al-Sharjah.

Mierzejewski, who appeared for Poland in the Euro 2012 championships, has played in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League for Turkish side Trabzonspor.

The 2010 Polish League player of the season brings plenty of experience to the Sky Blues, who won the A-League for the third time last season.

"Adrian's signing is a major coup for the club and is a player I believe will add more of the X-factor to our front line," Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold said.
