BARCELONA: Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde on Friday said that Celta Vigo, which is set to face Barca in the upcoming La Liga round, is a dangerous opponent.

Barca leads the La Liga table and is set to host Celta Vigo, coached by Juan Carlos Unzue, on Saturday in the 14th round of the Spanish league at the Camp Nou, reports Efe.

"Unzue is very studious and the fact that he knows the team (Barcelona) so well makes him dangerous," Valverde said in a pre-match press conference.

Valverde praised Unzue, a former player of Barcelona, recalling that he played along with him in 1988 and they "have met a lot of times."

"With Unzue as coach, that means they have a very clear way of playing, they want to take the initiative in the game and they will want to do that at Camp Nou," Valverde reiterated, according to Barcelona's official website.

The Spanish coach emphasized that his Catalan team need to keep playing well.

Barcelona, the unbeaten leader of La Liga, often had tough games against Celta in previous matches, but Valverde stressed that the "past results don't tell you everything."

Barcelona leads La Liga with 35 points, four points ahead of second-placed Valencia.
