Top-rated US women to host Germany, England and France

CHICAGO: Defending champion France, top-ranked United States, world number two Germany and third-ranked England will meet in the third SheBelieves Cup women's football tournament next March, host US Soccer announced Thursday.

Three double-headers will be staged over a week in the event, which saw the Americans win the inaugural 2016 edition and the French shock higher-rated rivals last year.

The round-robin event begins March 1 at Columbus, Ohio, with England facing France followed by the Americans, reigning Women's World Cup champions, against Olympic champions Germany.

Three days later at Red Bull Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, the Americans will face France followed by Germany against England. The event concludes March 7 at Orlando with France against Germany and the Americans facing England.
