HYDERABAD: The State Government Friday issued orders ratifying the decision taken by the managing director of Andhra Pradesh State Film, TV and Theatre Development Corporation Limited to increase the cash prize from Rs 7.52 lakh to Rs.14.99 lakh.

The enhanced prize money has already been awarded to winners at the Nandi Theatre Awards ceremony for the year 2008.

According to officials, the enhanced prize money will be given for all awards including the NTR Rangasthala Puraskaram.

Similarly, the honorarium to the members of the Nandi Film Awards Jury and the Nandi TV Film Awards Jury has been doubled from Rs 300 to Rs 600 per day and from Rs 400 to Rs 800 per day to the chairman of the jury. They will be paid another Rs 200 per day towards conveyance.

The honorarium will be Rs 25,000 per member for the Scrutiny Panel of Nandi Theatre Awards and Rs 10,000 per member for the Jury of the Theatre.
