Howrah-B’lore Duronto Exp from January 3

HYDERABAD: As announced by Union Minister for Railways Mamata Banerjee in the Railway Budget, a new weekly non-stop train, Duronto Express, between Yeswantpur (Bengaluru) and Howrah (Kolkata) via Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada, Renigunta and Katpadi is being introduced from January 3.

The train, No.2245 Howrah- Yeswantpur Duronto Weekly Express will depart from Howrah on Fridays at 11.00 hours and arrive at Yeswantpur at 16.00 hours.the next day (Saturdays).

Its corresponding train, the 2246 Yeshwantpur-Howrah Duronto Weekly Express, will be introduced on January 8. It will leave Yeswantpur on Sundays at 11.15 hours and reach Howrah at 16.00 hours on the next day (Mondays).

The train will carry 17 coaches _ one AC First Class, one AC Two-Tier, four AC Three-Tier, eight Sleeper Class, two Second Class Luggage- cum-Brake Van and one Pantry Car.

The train’s inaugural run was conducted today from Howrah to Yeswantpur.
