HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials unearthed assets worth Rs 80 lakh from a deputy paramedical officer in Warangal today.

ACB officials conducted searches on the Hanamkonda residence of A Jaggam Raju, the deputy paramedical officer in the office of the District Medical and Health Office (AIDS and Leprosy). Simultaneous searches were conducted on the residences of his friends and relatives at Hanamkonda and Hyderabad, an official release said.

The assets include three flats (one each at Hanamkonda, Bachupally in Rangareddy district and Kalyan Nagar in Hyderabad), a two-storeyed building at Hanamkonda and a plot at Ghatkesar in Rangareddy district. The other properties include a car, two motorcycles, gold weighing 114 tola worth Rs 13 lakh, insurance premium worth Rs 80,000, chit funds worth Rs 2.50 lakh, bank balances of Rs 4.10 lakh, Rs 4.50 lakh cash, fixed deposits worth Rs 50,000 and household articles worth Rs 4.80 lakh.

Jaggam Raju would be arrested and produced before a special court for ACB cases at Hyderabad.
