HYDERABAD: Raptadu MLA-elect Paritala Sunitha (TDP) today left the Assembly without taking the oath as member. She protested over JC Diwakar Reddy being in the Chair as protem Speaker.

As many as 17 members are yet to take the oath. Ministers S Vijayaramaraju and D Prasada Rao, his brother D Krishna Das were absent today as they were in Srikakulam district to attend the last rites of MLA Revatipati.

Meanwhile, 15 MLAs who deviated the prescribed format while swearing in will also take the oath tomorrow. In all 276 MLAs took oath today in 293-member House. Tekkali Assembly seat fell vacant following the death of Revatipati yesterday.
