HYDERABAD: Telugu film actor and BJP leader K Naresh on Tuesday resigned from the primary membership of the party in Andhra Pradesh.Naresh, who unsuccessfully contested from Hindupur Lok Sabha constituency in Anantapur district on party ticket,today sent his resignation letter to the state unit chief Bandaru Dattatreya, party sources said.

Naresh, who was state party's vice-president, had recently resigned from the post which was accepted by the party.

A day after state BJP sent a letter accepting his resignation from the post, the actor sent in his resignation from the party's primary membership.

In his resignation letter, the actor said he was upset about the treatment meted out to him as the party did not even call him before accepting his resignation letter from the post.

He sent his resignation just before the state party's executive committee meeting at Nizamabad on July 4 and 5.
