HYDERABAD: Making it clear that there would be no party’s manifesto for the GHMC elections scheduled to take place on Nov 23, Pradesh Congress Committee chief D Srinivas said today that the Congress would contest in all the 150 divisions and its mayoral candidate would be finalised only after the elections.

Talking with reporters, Srinivas, who returned from Delhi this afternoon, said party MLAs were not keen to contest the civic poll. “Ministers, M  LAs and MLCs have the responsibility to ensure the party’ victory in the polls. A meeting with Greater Hyderabad, Medak and Ranga Reddy DCC presidents, incharge ministers and party functionaries concerned would be held here tomorrow to discuss poll preparations.

Union Minister and AICC incharge of AP affairs M Veerappa Moily will attend another meeting on Oct 31, he added.

Srinivas said his party would think of alliances only if it saw a need for it and after approval from the high command.
