HYDERABAD: Padma Sri awardee Vijay Prasad Dimri, Director of city-based National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), is a world-renowned geophysicist.
A student of Indian School of Mines, he joined the NGRI in 1970 and worked in different capacities before making it to the top of the institute.
When asked how he felt about the national award, the modest Dimri said ``The credit is not mine solely but should go to every one at the institute.’’ A Fellow of various scientific bodies, Dimri has executed many national and international projects apart from authoring four books and around 100 standard publications.
