HYDERABAD: After the formal merger of the Praja Rajyam with the Congress with its founder president K Chiranjeevi taking the ruling party's membership at the All India Congress Committee office in Delhi on Saturday, it is the turn of his party MLAs and state leaders to take the membership at the state Congress headquarters (Gandhi Bhavan) here on Monday.

As many as 17 MLAs, excluding Bhuma Shobha Nagi Reddy (Allagadda) loyal to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSR Congress, and another 20 to 25 PRP leaders will take the Congress party's membership in the presence of PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana at 11 am on Monday. Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and AICC secretary in charge of AP affairs KB Krishnamurthy will also be present.

The Congress, in association with PRP cadre, is making elaborate arrangements for the success of Monday's programme. Besides, the PRP cadre planned to organise a huge rally from the Shamshabad airport on Monday morning on the arrival their leader Chiranjeevi from Delhi.  The PCC president and the chief minister will receive Chiranjeevi at Gandhi Bhavan. Thousands of party workers and functionaries of the two parties are expected to attend. Several ministers, Congress MPs, MLAs, MLCs and others will also attend.
