TIRUPATI: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is contemplating to start a satellite channel exclusively for giving live coverage of dharmic (spiritual) discourses of eminent persons, said its executive officer LV Subrahmanyam.

Welcoming a suggestion by Kiran from Hyderabad  during ‘Dial Your TTD EO Programme’ at Hyderabad on Friday that the TTD provide a live telecast of discourses by eminent scholars, Subrahmanayam said.

TTD’s SV Bhakti Channel was already providing live coverage of discourses by scholars on dharmic topics. Yet, the TTD was mulling to start another channel exclusively for live coverage of discourses, he said.

For the first time, ‘Dial Your EO Programme’ organised by TTD during the first Friday of every month (in Tirumala) was held in Hyderabad wherein TTD executive officer interacted with callers from across the country.

A caller, SV Ramana from Vizag suggested  that a seva dal (volunteers) be constituted for rendering service at Tirumala on the lines of Puttaparthi. The EO said that a team of TTD officials will soon visit Puttaparthi to study the service rendered by volunteers there.
