NTR University of Health Sciences registrar T Venugopala Rao said on Thursday that counselling for admission into MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2012-13 will begin on Friday.

Of the total 3,880 seats available for the two courses, 2,050 seats were in government colleges and 1,830 seats in private colleges.

Students belonging to OC and BC categories should pay the counselling fee of `500 and SC and ST students  Rs 300 along with the course fee, Venugopala Rao said. Classes for the two courses will commence in the first week of August.

The notification for counselling for special category students, including Anglo-Indian, sports, CAP (Army), NCC and physically challenged (PH) seats will be released by month-end.

Students should come with their original certificates and two attested xerox copies, he said. Integrated caste certificate is a must for candidates who claim caste reservation.
