AP Literacy Mission Authority received three national-level awards for the outstanding work in improving literacy percentage of the state.

 The director general, National Literacy Mission Authority government of India has informed about it to the State Literacy Authority.

 The awards will be given by the vice-president Hameed Ansari on the occasion of International Literacy day on September 8 in Lucknow.

 Meanwhile chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy congratulated the Andhra Pradesh State Literacy Mission Authority for achieving Awards.

 Vijayanagaram district, P Yeleru gram panchayat of Ananthapur district and AP state got the Saakshar Bharat Awards for improving the literacy percentage.

 Saakshra Bharat programmes is being implemented in 19 districts in the state
