Senior Congress legislator DL Ravindra Reddy, who was sacked from Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet, on Wednesday, launched a broadside on chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for the manner in which he was removed from the cabinet. He also announced that he would take a decision on his future after the Assembly session.

Predicting doom for the party, Ravindra Reddy said, ‘’if Kiran Kumar Reddy continues to be the CM, the party will meet its nemesis.’’

The MLA from Mydukur in Kadapa district on Wednesday returned to his constituency amid a tumultuous welcome by his supporters who  raised slogans in his support. Ravindra Reddy, who choose to go soft on the chief minister in Hyderabad, went all guns blazing once he entered his region.

Entering into his constituency at Dhuvvuru through Chagalamarri in the neighbouring Kurnool district, Ravindra Reddy accompanied by thousands of his supporters addressed the activists at a couple of places. His convoy passed through Dhuvvuru, Mydukur and finally halted at Kazipet, the native of the MLA.

‘’I felt hurt by the manner I was sacked when I was on a foreign tour. Had the CM asked me to resign  over phone, I would have happily resigned,’’ he said.

Ravindra Reddy said that he himself had offered to resign on February 8, 2012 before the AICC chief Sonia Gandhi expressing his displeasure to work under Kiran Kumar Reddy. ‘’It is disheartening that I was sacked after one year and three months,’’ he said and added, ‘’if the CM is acting in such a manner with the party leaders, it would be unimaginable how he would be treating the cadre.’’

Ravindra Reddy said that he never crossed the disciplinary standards set by the party and worked for the party for 32 years. ‘’Is it the way you treat me?’’ he questioned.

Ravindra Reddy said he would corner the government over why he was sacked from the cabinet. ‘’I will take a decision on my future after the Assembly session. I will visit each and every village and meet each and every supporter,’’ he said.

Meanwhile, the party activists burnt Kiran Kumar Reddy in effigy. They said that the party had insulted Ravindra Reddy by asking him to contest against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Kadapa MP elections and making him lose with a huge margin.
