SRIKAKULAM: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted surprise check on the integrated check-post at Purushothapuram in the district on the Andhra-Odisha border Sunday and arrested five unauthorised persons. They also recovered an unaccounted cash of `1.48 lakh from the personnel at the check-post.

According to the sources, the ACB team led by Vizianagaram deputy superintendent of police (ACB) Ch Lakshmipathi and circle inspector of police Aazad raided the check-post in the small hours of Sunday and the inspection continued till the morning. The ACB also took the check-post staff into custody and recorded their statements for further investigation. The check-post was raided in January this year, where the officials recovered `48,000 unaccounted cash from the staff.
