Endowments Department Will be Streamlined Soon: Manikyala Rao

Immediate steps will be taken for streamlining the endowments department even as it has figured in the corruption list at various levels along with the other departments, endowments minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao has said.

BHIMAVARAM: Immediate steps will be taken for streamlining the endowments department even as it has figured in the corruption list at various levels along with the other departments, endowments minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao has said.

After assuming charge at Hyderabad, the minister visited Mavulamma Temple here Saturday and performed poojas to the presiding deity. Temple chairman Rama Rao presented the photo of Mavullamma to Manikyala Rao on the occasion.  Later, the minister told reporters that top priority will be given to devotees in all the temples across the state and least priority to VIPs.

Any violation in this regard will be viewed seriously and stern action will be initiated against the respective temple authorities. Every staff in the temple should respect the devotees, he averred.

Meanwhile, temple trust boards will be appointed shortly. It is the duty of the temple trust boards to protect the properties of respective temples, which were donated by many devotees, and provide the devotees with necessary facilities, he added. Temple chairman Rama Rao, assistant commissioner N Satyanarayana and temple trust board members were present.
