VIJAYAWADA: Online entrance exam for admission into various superspecialty courses, including Doctor of Medicine (DM) and Magister Chirurgiae (Master of Surgery) or M.Ch under the purview of NTRUHS, was conducted at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada Sunday.

As many as 539 medicos took the test at the designated online centres. As part of the upgrading of the system, NTRUHS has decided to conduct online entrance exam for superspecialty courses this academic year.

“We have given a feedback form along with the question paper. The online exam has provided an opportunity to test the knowledge of candidates better,” said NTRUHS vice-chancellor T Ravi Raju.

There are a total number of 120 seats in about 10 to 13 specialisations in superspecialty courses like Neurology, Cardiology, Nephrology and Surgical Gastroenterology.

“Online entrances are not less expensive but will also ensure the convenience of students. If everything goes well, the NTRUHS will also introduce online pattern for PG medical entrance exams next year,” added V-C T Ravi Raju.
