Divis Labs Organises Walk on Environment

VISAKHAPATNAM: Divis Laboratories Limited employees have organised a 7K walk in support of environmental sustainability. The walk from Avanthi Engineering College to the main gate of Divis factory at Chippada coincides with the Paris Climate Change Conference.

About 2,000 Divis employees participated in the walk which covered seven villages of Bhogapuram and Bheemili mandals. The employees raised slogans like ‘Mana Chettu-Mana Pranam’ (Our Tree-Our Life), ‘Paryavarana Rakshane Divis Dyeyam’ (Protection of Environment-Divis Commitment) and ‘Save Environment and Save Life’, to spread awareness on the need to protect environment.

Divis Laboratories chairman and managing director Murali K Divi, director Madhusudana Rao Divi and general managers of the company S Devendra Rao, M Ramesh Babu, YTS Prasad, Srininivasa Rao, LV Ramana, P Ramaiah Chowdary and MSN Rao took part.

At the end of the walk, Murali K Divi said that radical decarburisation measures were necessary to save the nations from the severe consequences of changing climate such as loss of biodiversity and harm to human health.
