Nagalakshmi is New Guntur Municipal Commissioner

GUNTUR:  S Nagalakshmi took charge as the commissioner of Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) here on Monday. Nagalakshmi, a 2012 batch IAS officer, earlier worked as Krishna district sub-collector.

Speaking after taking charge from incumbent commissioner C Anuradha, Nagalakshmi said that all the public services of the corporation will be made online and the government embarked to provide the municipal services through online, for the convenience of public.

Meanwhile, improvement of sanitation, solid and liquid waste management system, storm water drainage system will be given enough priority, she informed.

As regards improper water supply to some tail-end areas, she assured to make a personal visit to the localities and take the necessary steps to rectify the problem.

Later, Nagalakshmi called on Krishna district collector Kantilal Dande and Guntur urban SP Sarva Sreshta Tripathi.
