Chinmaya Mission Geeta Chanting Contests

VISAKHAPATNAM: As many as 285 participants reached the state finals of the “Chant Geeta - Enchant Krishna”, the second Chinmaya International Geeta Chanting Competition 2015, organised by the Chinmaya Mission, as a part of celebrations of centenary year of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananadaji.

The members of Chinmaya Mission said that the competitions were held in four categories of the children. As many as 43,837 children took part from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The winners will be taking part in state-level Geeta Chanting Competition which is scheduled in Visakhapatnam on October 19 at Sri Chaitanya Junior College, East Point Colony, followed by valedictory function in the evening.

The organisers said that top three winners in each group will be awarded cash prizes, and they will be sent to national-level competition which will be held on November 22 at Chinmaya Vibhooti, Kolvan, Pune. The winners will participate in the international-level Geeta Chanting Competition on December 22 at the same venue.
