Permanent Additional Coach to Five Trains From September 19

ECoR is also augmenting coaches temporarily in various special trains

VISAKHAPATNAM : Keeping in view the increasing rush, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to augment one additional Sleeper Class coach each in the LTT (Mumbai), Gandhidham, Secunderabad, Sai Nagar Shirdi and Chennai bound trains from Visakhapatnam with effect from September 19. The arrangement will be made on a permanent basis.

According to a release, the Visakhapatnam-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT, Mumbai)-Visakhapatnam Express (18519/18520) will be augmented with one Sleeper Class coach from Visakhapatnam and LTT with effect from September 19 and September 21 respectively. Similarly, the Visakhapatnam-Gandhidham-Visakhapatnam Express (18501/18502) will be augmented with an additional Sleeper Class coach from Visakhapatnam and Gandhidham commencing from September 24 and September 27 respectively.

The Visakhapatnam-Sai Nagar Shirdi-Visakhapatnam Express (18503/18504) will be augmented with one additional Sleeper Class coach from Visakhapatnam as well as Sai Nagar Shirdi with effect from September 24 and 25 respectively.

Meanwhile, the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Central Visakhapatnam Express (22869/22870) will be augmented with one additional Sleeper Class coach from Visakhapatnam and also from Chennai Central with effect from September 28 and 29 respectively. Further, the Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Special (08501/08502) will be augmented with an additional Sleeper Class coach from Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad commencing from September 29 and 30 respectively.

Besides, the ECoR is also adding additional coaches temporarily in different important trains towards various destinations of the country from its jurisdiction according to the feasibility and demand from the passengers.

Based on an analysis of the Passenger Traffic Profile on various routes, temporary augmentation of coaches in several express trains is being done by attaching additional coaches.
